Both conservator general and director general of the forest department and wildlife department should comply with this Supreme Court order. Thus this forest reserve consists of mangroves which is more significant in the biodiversity. The mangrove vegetation is to dwindle day by day due to many inhuman activities such illegal frown farming and illegal constructions. Certain high ranking officers of the ministry of wildlife and forestry are very timid to take correct decisions whatever are very beneficial for the coexistence of forests resources due to the unnecessary political power

doesn't the President have anything to say on this ? Or is this too small a matter for him not to comment ? Still protecting the Rajapaksas and pandering to the mafia goons like Douglas Devananda, who is controlling a lot of Aquaculture business in his territory, BY FORCE.

You can see from all these judgements that are given by the judges without any fear or favor, that the present President is not interfering with the judiciary, unlike how it was under the previous Presidents. So be happy that we have a President who goes by the the rules. Currently there is no one else fit for the post of President than RW.

It's his minister Douglas who was instrumental in issuing this gazette, in order to allow his cronies to establish prawn and sea-cucumber farms. Ranil is eyeing the 5-10% vote bank of Douglas, hence his tacit support is there on these projects.

World Over mangroves are being protected, as this ecosystem protects and nourishes the environment. Yet Pani Motti Nona wants to use this to farm prawns. Well done to the SC.

Thanks to the Supreme court, at least a temporary reprieve. Hopefully, the court will give a positive verdict and save this Nature and Reserve. So called, Lawmakers are nothing but Scumbags!
